Lord, my heart is filled with great sadness as I look upon my beloved country. What was once the greatest democratic adventure the world has ever seen, has since turned into the beast from which it was born. For it was out of tyranny and absolute rule that the ideas to create this new nation came. A nation that would hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. A nation that put restrictions upon its government in order to protect it's people from that same government. For it would be the people, not the government, with their newfound freedoms and rights in hand, that would make this nation great.

But now, that great nation with the freedoms and liberties that we provided for it's people, remains no longer. Instead, I see a nation of tyranny and absolute rule. One that no longer listens to, nor represents it's people. One that has become crippled by it's own greed and corruption. A government that satisfies it's thirst for absolute power by taking it away from the people.

I find great sorrow in witnessing what has become of the people of this once great nation. They are now divided and discouraged. They seek strong and righteous leadership, but it is nowhere to be found. The people now depend upon this government to fulfill their needs instead of depending upon themselves. This, the very same government that attempts to strip them and their children of their morals, their ethics and their values. For it is a government that wants the people to do, to act, to think, and to behave in such manners as it dictates.

So lord, I now pray to you for the sake of these people and for their nation. For they are lost and in desperate need of your guidance. Their thoughts and their actions have been manipulated by a corrupt government that sought control over them and over their country. They thirst to be free from the reigns that constrain them but they know not how.

So lord, I now ask of you to give them the strength and the courage to stand up and to fight. For it is with your help that they will remove the tyranny the rules over them......Amen
